I know this is really a hunting firearms site, but for those of us that like to kill paper, just thought I would post that the 2018 Bob White (Owner of The Shooter's Corner) Benchrest Seminar and Clinic is scheduled for two Saturday's in April. Its held at the Cherry Ridge Gun Club in New Jersey and details are on the wed site for the club as well as the New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Association. For members of Cherry Ridge, the total cost is $15.00. Last year there were plaques for the match winners, but there was also a drawing for a Sightron SIII 8x32 Scope, 500 Custom 6mm Bullets and a set of reloading dies. I think the cost for non-members is only $10.00 more. Harley Baker, one of the top short range (100/200 yard) Bench Rest Shooters in the country is one of the instructors.
For those who like 1,000 yard shooting, the PA 1,000 Yard benchrest club has opened sign up for the 2018 1,000 yard bench rest school. Although it is $425.00, it includes a years membership to the club and two days of intense instruction and shooting. There is breakfast each morning, Lunch and Dinner on Saturda as well as camping on site or local motels. I have been a member for many years now and will be there for most of the week prior and then during the school. HogPatrol, will you be attending again this year? Information and applications are available at the OriginalPA1000YardBenchResand camping available as well as local motels. (bottom of the 2018 Schedule Page.)
Bullet Maker, Do you make any long range 6mm, 6.5mm or .30 cal projectiles? I would be happy to take some samples to the club and show the members and attendees if you want to get some esposure. Most 6mm shooters are shooting 105 or 107 grainers in 6mm, 130 in 6.5 and 185 in .30 cal. Tipped bullets are now the rage.
