Which Thompson Center ML should I get?

Postby nhmikel » Wed Dec 21, 2016 12:54 am

I'm thinking about getting one of these for hunting deer. Which model is preferred? So im thinking 45 cal would be ok or even the 50. Seneca seems adequate as far as lite weight and balance. May even consider the Patriot pistol thoughts? Suggestions?

What type of ML? Percussion, inline or flintlock?

Most will go with at least the fifty cal. Others like to up it to the 54 cal. Good all around caliber is the fifty. Bill K

I've taken mule deer with 45 and 54 caliber percussion at ranges between 100 and 150. The inline variation are probably a little better suited for extending that range a bit, but not my cup of tea.
