Re: A fix for Savage 20 VarTarg Not Ejecting Casings

Bill--Lisa just told me in an e-mail that she was waiting on parts for 200 of these kits when I placed my order. She apologized for the wait and I told her it was worth the wait. Like you mentioned, "Be patient."

A fix for Savage 20 VarTarg Not Ejecting Casings

Most of you, if you read my PD hunt story about my outing on November 13, know that my 20 VarTarg Savage Target action is a right bolt/left eject single-shot rifle. During that hunt I was having difficulty removing the spent casings from the action because the fired casings won’t stay on the bolt a...

Bill K--You and Varmint Shooter definitely earned the title of "Dedicated Squeek Shooters" for that hunting expedition.

New 20 VarTarg build and its first ND PD hunt

There hasn't been much activity in this topic since early October, so I'll post this about my latest rifle build and prairie dog shoot on November 13, 2018. The last prairie dog shoot I was out on was back on August 21, 2018, and I was suffering withdrawal symptoms from not feeding my NEED ...

ND Albino Prairie Dog Mount

My taxidermist, Frenchy’s Taxidermy, from Minot, ND left a message for me on my phone on Tuesday, October 2 this week and told me the mount of my albino prairie dog was finished. I happened to be heading through Minot this past Thursday, October 4, 2018, and stopped at his shop to pick up the cute ...

ND PD Hunt 8-21-2018

The weather was supposed to be ideal for prairie dog shooting. The temperature was predicted to hit the low 80s and winds no more than 5 to 10 mph so I headed off for a prairie dog town I last visited on December 2, 2017. I arrived at my parking place on the west side of the prairie dog colonies &#...

Re: ND PD Hunt 7-20-2018

870slugger and bullseye-69-- I definitely had a GREAT time in spite of the little inconsiderate farts who messed up my afternoon shooting. I am definitely paying for my fun because my back, ribs and hips are still hurting today--four days after the PD shoot. I guess if I want to play I have to pay ...
